Why are you screening me?

CV verification and pre-employment screening has become a very important part of the hiring process for many organisations for safeguarding their business, staff and clients.

Our clients engage our services to enhance their recruitment processes. All verification checks are carried out in line with their internal policies.

We would advise you to contact your new employer to discuss this further if you have any concerns or questions.


What checks will CV Insight perform?

We conduct a variety of checks but we only carry out the screening checks specifically requested by our clients as part of their screening policy. These checks may include employment referencing, education verification and a criminal check, among others. Your application form will show you which checks have been requested and you will only be asked to provide the information required for us to carry out these checks.


What is the screening process?

You will receive an email from CV Insight providing you with your login details for completing our secure online application form within 3 working days (depending on your current circumstances).

Our online application is simple and easy to use, and will clearly outline the information you need to complete, and any necessary documents you are required to upload.

Should we require any more information from you after your application has been submitted, we will be in touch to let you know exactly what we need to move things forward.

I can’t find my login details. Can you help?

Yes. You can contact us at any time on 0845 130 2481 to ask a member of the team for your login details. In compliance with data protection, we are required to ask some security questions to confirm your identity before we can give you any information regarding your application.


What happens after I send my information to you?

Once you have provided us with all the necessary details to start the referencing process, the information is passed to our experienced screening team to carry out the searches and verifications. This is always done in a timely manner, adhering to strict timeframes and regulations. All personal information is stored securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act.


How long do these checks take?

Depending on the level, detail of screening and availability of referees, we aim to return completed UK reports within 3 to 10 working days.

Some basic identity and UK credit checks can be completed with 24 hours. International reports may take a little longer and the turnaround times will vary between countries.


I have worked abroad a lot. Will this affect my screening?

Absolutely not. We have a skilled team of multi-lingual screening administrators who are able to contact any overseas referees to obtain the necessary verifications to complete your screening process.


Does a credit search leave a footprint on my credit file?

Yes. However, the footprint is only visible to the individual on their credit file. It is not seen by any other companies and therefore is not taken into account when assessing for future credit requests.


I already have a current Disclosure (criminal records check)/I’ve already been screened for a previous job. Do I still need to do this?

It is always essential for employers to carry out an updated check for new employees in order to adhere to their compliance. This ensures that your new employer has the most up-to-date and accurate records for you.
